In Italy, there is a saying, “Da Cose – Nasce Cose…” This means “From things – are born things.”
Gail’s life did not start off as one you would want for your own, but “from things are born things.” And from that small child, was born the woman she now is.
She believes we will never know HOPE until we have felt despair. We will never know PEACE until we have experienced chaos and upheaval; and we will never know JOY until we have known grief and sadness. And LOVE? Now that is something else. You can love in your lifetime, but to LOVE truly and deeply…ah, this is an art…
Gail recently wrote, “Once you have known HOPE, PEACE, and JOY, then you will know LOVE. But the art of truly experiencing its depth is in learning to surrender to it completely, breathlessly, and without fear or hesitation.” She wrote, “You have to become not only the moth, but the flame as well. There is no true LOVE if you have become only one and not the other. To truly experience it, you have to become both.”
Gail finally had the courage to start loving in this way the last year of her mother’s life. Only then was she able to allow herself to finally fall in love with her mother; and that was when life opened up for her. Since then, her writing has taken off, and she has penned such books as “I Am a Thousand Winds That Blow, the Healing Power of a Remarkable Death,” a non-fiction work published in 2002 by Cedar Fort Publishing and Bonneville books. It is the story of her tempestuous relationship with her mother and how it changed the last year of her life; and it is about forgiveness, love, compassion, and facing death with laughter and through the eyes of love.
In 2004, an e-book, “Looking Into the Eyes of the Snake, Facing Immortality at Fifty” was published on her website www.livealifeofpassion.com It is a personal account of Gail’s journey through her mid-life crisis and how it changed her life. It is a very raw and real journal of what she encountered as she dealt with her insanity and the changes to her physicality as she battled illness.
In 2005, “Giving Gratitude” – Wake Up…Live the Life You Love” was published by Steven Lee and Lee Beard and reached #6 on the Barnes & Noble Bestsellers List. The book is a compilation of inspirational stories of life’s challenges by successful leaders from around the world. Gail was a co-author with Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer and others. Her inspirational chapter tells why and how she found gratitude in the life she had created based on her early childhood traumas. From this experience, she learned forgiveness, compassion and self-love and explains how it led her to live the life she now loves.
In 2007, she released a new e-book on her website, “Depression – Floating Through it Without Drugs, An Alternative to Antidepressants.” This is a thought provoking guide (based on Gail’s own experiences), to assist you in delving deeper into your own depression, to try and identify the root cause, and tips on how to deal with it before turning to drugs.
In September of 2008, Gail’s first fiction novel was published by AEG Publishing and Eloquent Books, “The Passions of Roxanna – La Passione di Rossana.” It is the story of a woman who wakes up one day to find her life no longer fulfilling; so she travels to Italy and Greece in search of romance, adventure, and passion.
Her latest project is yet another book ready for release, “A Foot in Both Worlds – Finding the Open Spaces.” It is a simple guidebook for the New Human living on this New Earth of ours as we maneuver through these trying times.
In both her fiction and non-fiction works, Gail gives her readers an inspiring look into life – both hers and her characters. She says, “Even my fictional works are from my own experiences. I have lived all of their adventures in some way, felt their love and their pain in some way. How else could I have written about them so deeply?” From these tales of the human spirit, she is able to challenge her readers to take a closer more conscious look into their own selves and the way they live their lives.
Her work has been called “heart-beating… provocative… delicious… adventurous… uplifting…compelling…courageous…”
Her quest to heal her life started in her thirties as she moved through the emotional scarring from the traumas of her abuse in early childhood. Eventually, she was able to finally release the anger she held toward spirit for holding her here (on earth) instead of letting her go. Only then did she open the doorway once again to the beings in the other realms that have been with her since she can remember.
These beings of light guide her daily, encouraging her to undress her soul by writing her stories in her truthful and raw way, so that she can make a difference in the world. With their guidance, she is finally able to live her life filled with love and passion, a smile on her face every day, doing only what she loves.
When not writing, Gail works as an executive in a cutting edge fitness company in Irvine, California; and whenever she can, she travels back to her new homeland in Capri, Italy.
